KIARA MUHAMMAD TALKS ABOUT NEW ROLE AND MORE

Kiara Muhammad’s cute face and sweet smile are behind the scenes in her latest role as the voice of “Doc” in Doc McStuffins, Disney Jr.’s new animated series.

The show is about a girl who runs a a clinic for worn stuffed animals and broken down toys.

Fanlala recently sat down with the young star to talk about the new role and more. Check out some of the interview highlights below:

Fanlala: Did you have any stuffed animals that meant a lot to you while you were growing up?

Kiara Muhammad: Yes!  A pink bunny that had bendable ears.  I would make them into a different hairstyle every night.

F: What’s the most interesting thing you’ve learned since you started acting?

KM: I learned that acting isn’t the fame and glory everyone thinks it is.  It takes a lot of hard work, and you really have to enjoy it, and I love it!

F: What makes your show Doc McStuffins so interesting and different from anything that’s been on TV before?

KM: It’s a show that teaches you how to live a healthy lifestyle, including getting exercise, eating right, and keeping up with your hygiene.

KM: I learned that acting isn’t the fame and glory everyone thinks it is.  It takes a lot of hard work, and you really have to enjoy it, and I love it!

F: What do you and your character Doc have in common with each other?

KM: We are both African-American.  I also had and played with a lot of stuffed animals at 6 years old.  I would pretend my stuffed animals came to life, and I would talk to them.
