Washington Wizards forward Andray Blatche will be eased back into the lineup starting Saturday against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Blatche returned to practice Thursday for the first time in more than a month. He had been sidelined since the end of January with a strained left calf muscle.
The 25-year-old Blatche has appeared in only 17 games, averaging 10.3 points and 7.1 rebounds.
With his production having dipped markedly from last season’s career-high 16.8 points-per-game average, Blatche has been the frequent target of boo-birds by Wizards fans.
