Magic C Howard out Friday vs. Hawks

Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard has gone to Los Angeles to get a second opinion on his ailing back and won’t play Friday against the Atlanta Hawks, the team announced.Howard has missed the team’s last two games because of back spasms.”It’s not a disk problem or anything, but anybody who’s been through back problems knows sometimes they resolve more quickly,” coach Stan Van Gundy said Thursday.Howard is averaging 20.6 points and 14.5 rebounds in 54 games this season.
