Kelly Rowland Defends Flop ‘Here I Am’ Album
Kelly Rowland has defended her new album despite it suffering from worryingly low sales.
X Factor judge Kelly released ‘Here I Am’ at the end of November in the UK and saw it chart at an embarrassing number 56 on its first week of release. A performance on The X Factor a week later did nothing to spur on album sales and the album is now looking on sadly from bargain bins across the nation.
Asked about this in a recent interview with Jet magazine, Kelly said: “I was very happy with the album, period. It was a long time coming and I’m proud that ‘Motivation’ was nominated for a Grammy; it’s been a really great year.”
However, the writer of the feature noted that the answer was given with “a mixture of slight annoyance, understandable frustration and reasonable divatude.”
Ouch!
Earlier this week Kelly claimed she would move to Britian if it meant she could return to The X Factor in 2012.
