A rep for Our Fair Lady Nippy says that rumors the that the singer is so broke that she’s been bumming off friends and that her record label, Arista, had to advance her money against her next album are “totally false and ridiculous.”

“She just made a movie with Jordin Sparks — ‘Sparkle’. People get paid to make movies. She’s not broke,” her rep told CNN in a statement.

A source close to Nippy F. Baby revealed to Radar Online recently that although she “should have Mariah Carey money” Houston has allegedly blown through the fortune she amassed throughout the span of her career and is currently “broke as a joke.”

“Whitney’s fortune is gone,” the associate tells the website. “Music industry heavy hitters are supporting her and her label is fronting her cash against her next album, but no one knows when that will be released.”
