Is Rita Ora Going To Be Rihanna’s Replacement?

Written by Naption on . Posted in News

Singer, Rita Ora has been sitting on a brick at Roc Nation for a few years with not many people even recognizing her, but she finally debuted her first single this week called “Party & Bullshit”.

Interestingly enough, she was accompanied to New York’s Z100 and KTU radio stations by her mega-boss, Jay-Z to premiere the new song — something the rap mogul has not done for any other Roc Nation artist.

With all the controversy surrounding Rihanna and her choice to record remixes with Chris Brown behind the label’s back, people are considering Miss Rita to be Rih-Rih’s wake up call.

I’m sure Jay-Z was none too pleased with Rihanna’s choice in recent collaborations mixed with her “I don’t care” attitude. While she has a brand and status that is currently unmovable, I do think this was Hov’s way of saying “girl, you better keep it every ounce of cute over there.”

When you think about it, Blue Ivy’s daddy has Rihanna’s career in the palm of his hands. The connections she has with her closest hitmakers flow right back to him.

Ester Dean and Stargate, who were behind some of Rih’s biggest hits, are both managed by Roc Nation. Her other big helper The-Dream is signed to Def Jam, and from I what I hear Rihanna’s contract is up over there.

Remember in my latest video, I said that Rihanna could easily be bumped off with a new girl, and that’s no shade. She just does not have an irreplaceable talent. Plus, this Rita Ora girl can actually sing, and her new song is cute.

I don’t think Rihanna is going anywhere anytime soon, but I do believe that Jay-Z is proving that he’s the king piece on this music industry chess board.

Do you think Rita can replace Rihanna?
