At long last, Chris Brown fans, the wait is over. OK, that’s a total lie, but the wait does now have an end date. Brown recently announced the official release date for fifth studio album Fortune, and while it’s probably a little later than fans had hoped…well, tough cookies. The “Strip” and “Turn Up the Music”-featuring album will hit shelves real-world and digital on May 8th. According to the press release, the album “will be available in both Standard and Deluxe editions; the latter will include additional songs and a special collectable cover.” (You hear that, guys? Special collectable cover! Order now at chrisbrownworld.com!)
Maybe it’s a good thing that the album is still a few months off—hopefully by then, memories of those recent Rihanna collaborations will have faded, they’ll have stopped with the Twitter flirtations and rumors of their rekindled relationship will be dead and gone. At that point, we will actually be excited to have more Chris Brown in our lives.
