Girls Generation, Two-Week Winners of the Popdust Pop-Off

The Popdust Files: b.o.b, girls’ generation, popdust pop-off

Wow. Well, the rout was on early in this one, and honestly, poor Bobby Ray Simmons never really stood a chance. K-Pop sensation Girls’ Generation simply will not be denied in the Popdust Pop-Off, and showed their dominance last week with an absolutely devastating beatdown of B.o.B.’s new song “So Good” with their own chart-topping “The Boys.” The margin of victory was easily the highest in the history of our weekly poll, with the Generation claiming a stunning 97.3% of all Pop-Off votes. (The most dramatic victory previously had been Avril Lavigne’s 83.3% against Enrique Iglesias and Dev’s “Naked” last December.)

That’s two weeks in a row for Girls’ Generation, meaning if they win this week, they will walk among Avril and the other greats in the Popdust Pop-Off Hall of Fame. Standing in their way: Young Money rapper Tyga and his irrepressible top ten hit “Rack City.” Will history be made again in this week’s poll? Help let us know in a couple hours.
