The Popdust Files: american idol, max george, television, the wanted
Continuing their American push leading up to the release of their debut album, The Wanted will appear on American Idol next Thursday. Max—that’s the shaved head, smoldering one to all you casual fans out there—revealed the news of the group’s April 5 live appearance to followers via Twitter only moments ago; commence the planning of your requisite viewing parties:
If only they had done this a few days earlier, tea-drinking Nathan could reveal how much time he allots for gawking at human wonder Ryan Seacrest. The boys have hung out with multitasking host before, but it’s hard to say how they’ll handle Idol judge Steven Tyler, particularly if he takes the lyrics to “Glad You Came” literally. There’s only supposed to be seltzer in Grandpa Stevie’s cup, you stupid production assistant! Perhaps their recent appearance on The Tonight Show will serve as inspiration if the braided one decides to get up and dance. And since Fox seems to love the boys so much, how much longer until Schmidt tries to buddy up to the lads on an upcoming episode of New Girl? A debate over whose v-neck is longer and/or tighter is one we’d love to watch. Or referee.
