While conspiracy theorists and the baby bump-obsessed might still be analyzing old camera angles and Beyoncé’s range of movement over the course of nine months, the rest of us have abandoned any doubt folding stomachs could create and accepted tiny Blue Ivy as our her own. Faking a pregnancy is crazy, right? Even for celebrities. Following the rumors that she was indeed walking around with a pillow under her dress and having her child via surrogacy, the most beautiful woman in the world wants to make sure everyone knows that she, too, thought these theories were absurd. “That was crazy. It wasn’t hurtful, it was just crazy,” Beyoncé told People. “[I thought] ‘Where did they come up with this?’” No further explanation was needed; the proven good judgment of the Knowles-Carter clan speaks for itself.

Queen B remains relatively diplomatic in regard to her critics, yet mother Tina Knowles is more revealing about the toll said rumors took on their family. “I thought it was very unfair and very cruel that someone would think that someone would be that diabolical to keep up a charade like that for nine months,” she explained. “As a mother it was painful for me to hear the crazy rumors. And I even had people ask me, which was so ridiculous.” We know Miss Tina is fierce when it comes to her first born, but the loyalty with which she’ll protect her first grandchild is unprecedented.
