“Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” star Joseline Hernandez has cleared the air on releasing a nude, full frontal photo of herself last week and lashed back at critics who called her a man.
In retrospect, Hernandez said she regretted the decision and overreacted to the transgender gossip.
“I’ll tell you what, I posted one picture and I was wrong for that because I’m trying to change my life and that was the old me and I should have never did that,” Hernandez said in an interview. “That was the only time that I did blow up. It pissed me off ’cause out of everything you’re going to say, ‘this’ is what you say? I’ve never had no one say I look like a man. Are you serious? I’ve had [men] in my life give me everything I ever wanted. [Giving] me cars, clothes and houses. How dare you say that. That’s disrespectful to me because I like to work out and I pretty much look perfect. [laughs] Excuse me.” (Power 107.5)
The NSFW photo began circulating online around mid-June.
Joseline Hernandez, real name Shenellica Bettencourt, is an ex-stripper, hopeful rapper and side-chick to super-producer Stevie J. Her appearance on the debut episode of “Love & Hip Hop” established her as less of an artist and more like a sinister gold-digger. Yesterday, the Internet was ablaze with rumors that Joseline is allegedly a man. Several sources reported that the reality star is transgender. To prove the public wrong, Joseline tweeted a nude photo of herself exposing her lady parts to any skeptics. (The Urban Daily)
Following its release, she also made sure to inform followers the photo was far from an accidental leak.
Joseline took to the social networking website on Tuesday to post a nude photograph of herself — and we’ll just say, those are not man parts below her navel. “B*tches I’m 100% women.” she wrote alongside her visual evidence. “I will no longer entertain the foolishness. It’s been real and fun,” she added. The reality star’s gender has been a topic of debate since she made her TV debut earlier this month, but after taking a step like this to prove her point, we’re not sure there’s much else to say. Some reports claim Hernandez may have spent time in the prostitution game.
It also seems that the spotlight is digging up some skeletons from Bettencourt’s past. It was recently reported that the LAHHA star has an extensive criminal past, including arrests for Lewd & Lascivious Behavior aka prostitution along with battery charges. On the premiere of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” the former stripper is introduced as the new artist of producer Stevie J. The producer’s longtime girlfriend, Mimi, is immediately worried that Stevie is spending way too much time in the studio with Joseline. (RapFix)
