2012 Geneva Motor Show: Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

Hold onto your hats, sit down and prepare yourself for this shocking bit of news: Bugatti is planning a SPECIAL EDITION Veyron for the Geneva Motor Show!

Now that women have recovered from fainting and men have recovered their monocles from their old fashioned glass, let’s look at what we have here. The Vitesse is, essentially, a Grand Sport Veyron with Veyron Super Sport guts. Power is up from a lowly 1,001 to a reasonable 1,200. Torque is up to 1,500 nm from 1,250. In the Super Sport, this powerplant helped it achieve a top speed of 268 mph.

Wolfgang Durheimer had this to say, “The rapid success of the Super Sport convinced us to increase the performance of the Bugatti roadster. Once again our engineers worked hard to demonstrate that Bugatti is able to constantly redefine the boundaries of what is technically feasible. We gave our all to transfer the achievements of the Super Sport over to the Grand Sport, thereby turing open-top driving itself into an extraordinary experience at high speed.”
