Cadillac’s 3-Series fighter will finally go on sale this summer with a starting price of $ 33,990. For that you get the base ATS with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder and a six-speed transmission. The 2.0-liter turbocharged powerplant will start at $ 35,795 and the top-o’-the-line 320-horsepower 3.6-liter V6 will start at $ 42,090. That model will come standard with CUE, power leather seats and an automatic transmission.
For comparison, the base 2012 BMW 328i starts at $ 35,795 and comes with the 240-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter that is a direct competitor to the 270-horsepower Cadillac ATS which will start at the exact same price.
While pricing means we’re getting closer to the on-sale date, this information shouldn’t surprise anyone. GM’s been locked in on the 3-series from day-one with this car, you knew the pricing was going to be lockstep as well. Cadillac will release further specifications, options and standard features at a later date.
