Officials Blame Fisker Karma For Texas House Fire
A fire broke out in the garage of a Sugar Land, Texas home last week that was home to a Fisker Karma. Now Robert Baker, chief fire investigator for Fort Bent County has given an unofficial statement that the “Karma was the origin of the fire, but what exactly caused that we don’t know at this time.” Baker said the owner of the car parked it in the garage and, three minutes later, it caught fire. The Karma was not plugged in.
Fisker is well aware of the issue and have experts on the site. “I’ve worked homicide scenes with less secrecy,” Baker said. “There have to be about 15 engineers down here working on this one.” The case is still being investigated and an official decision will be made shortly.
An Acura NSX was also damaged in the fire.
