Hyundai hasn’t announced official pricing for the Veloster Turbo yet, but CEO John Krafcik told Inside Line that the turbocharged model will command a $ 1,600 price premium over the base model. The base model starts at $ 18,075, so the Veloster Turbo should come in well below the $ 20K mark.Krafcik also said the the standard Veloster has been selling well so far with most units on the lots for barely a week. Even more shocking is the 30% take rate for the manual transmission. Clearly, enthusiasts are taking this car seriously, so the turbocharged version should do just fine when it arrives this summer.
