Hyundai has announced the base price of its all-new Elantra GT; the Americanized i30 will start at $ 19,170. For that money, the GT comes with a six-speed manual mated to a 1.8-liter four-cylinder making 148 hp and 131 lb-ft of torque, which will be good for 27 mpg in the city and 39 on the highway.
Standard equipment for all Elantra GTs includes heated front seats, fog lamps, heated side mirrors, 16-inch aluminum wheels, a tilting and telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, Bluetooth phone integration, a 60/40-split rear seat, seven airbags, a six-speaker audio system with satellite radio, and a USB port. Further trim levels and option packages haven’t been announced yet, nor have their corresponding price points. Hyundai says that information will be coming soon.
