The new hatchy, five-door version of the Elantra comes with the familiar 148 horsepower 1.8-liter four-cylinder hooked up to a six-speed manual transmission. Other standard features include an electronic driver-selectabe steering mode (sport, comfort, normal), 16-inch wheels, seven airbags, a stereo with iPod and USB inputs, power windows and door locks, remote entry, cruise control, Bluetooth, heated cloth front seats and a tilt and telescoping wheel.
Next on the list is, obviously, the Elantra GT with the automatic transmission, this bad boy stickers for $ 20,170 and adds a six-speed automatic.
Moving up from there is the GT M/T (Or GT A/T) Style package which adds some $ 2,750 to the tally and in return you get slick 17-inch wheels with P215/45R17 tires, panoramic sunroof, a “sport tuned suspension”, leather seats, power driver seat with lumbar support and aluminum pedals. There’s also a technology package available that adds nav, a rear-view camera, automatic headlights and dual-zone temperate control for $ 2,350 but requires the above Style package.
