The Aston Martin AM310, revealed at this year’s Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’este, was an early look at the next-generation of the Aston Martin flagship grand tourer. There was some debate over whether that car would be named DBS, Vanquish or, perhaps Vanguard. Now, thanks to a spy photographer in just the right place and time, that the new AM310-inspired, 2014 Aston Martin flagship will be called ‘Vanquish’ and it will look exactly like this.
Photogs snapped this undisguised Aston in Italy where it’s likely being marketed to exclusive Aston buyers. We don’t get any clear indication of anything other than the styling, but rumor says that carbon fiber will be employed throughout the vehicle and that the 6.0-liter V12 will be retained, albeit with some tuning and tweaking to help it deliver more than 600 hp. Unless our eyes are misleading us, we can also see the same pop/flip-up nav unit that is annoying in the current lineup. We’re not sure what to expect from this interior other than leather. Lots of it.
