Video: McLaren Teases MP4-12C Sypder

During the 2012 Goodwood Festival of Speed, McLaren will debut the updated 2013 McLaren MP4-12C. That car has more power, better transmission programming and more sound. It’s also far, far less interesting that what McLaren will be showing off on July 3, 2012, two days after the GFoS.

Mark your calendars, open-top supercar fans, because that’s the date when McLaren will take the wraps off of the MP4-12C Spyder. The Spyder will rock the same carbon fiber MonoCell chassis as the coupe and the same 616 horsepower twin-turbo V8. We still don’t know how the roof mechanism will function or what it will be made out of — but we’re thinking folding hard top.
