Infiniti EMERG-E Running Prototype to Debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed

The Goodwood Festival of Speed has always been a destination for car lovers, but lately it seems as though manufacturers are taking full advantage of a captive and passionate audience and releasing really cool cars during the British event. The most recent addition to this epic event is a functioning version of the Infiniti EMERG-E.
We first saw this concept at the Geneva Motor Show, and we were taken by the shape and style of this new hybrid when it sat on the show floor. How cars look on the road, though, and Infiniti knows this. So they’ve thrown in a real powertrain — two electric motors producing some 402 horsepower with a 30-mile range and a range extender gas motor that lets it go to 300 miles — with the intent of chucking it up the hill at Goodwood. Mark Webber will handle driving duties.
