Celebrity Rewind: Kanye West, Bun B & GLC Rock Yeezys at SXSW ’09
With whirlwinds of Yeezy 2 talk circling around this year’s SXSW, and even last year’s, we rewind to the week that started it all. In 2009, the original Nike Air Yeezy stole the show at South By, popping up on Kanye West, Bun B, and GLC. ‘Ye and Bun chilled in the “Zen Grey” makeup while GLC took everyone to flight school in an un-released sample. The sightings from ‘09 draw parallels to this year, with Kanye coming off a tour where he wore them regularly and also sporting denim-on-denim as of late. Will we see part two before the weekend’s over? We sure hope so.
