Glamazon Katy Perry graced the red carpet at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards this weekend in Toronto, Canada in a bold look.

The newly-single singer traded in her fun, colorful looks for a dark, glamourous moment in a stunning black sheer gown with a leather bodice and gold lace neckline from Vawk‘s Resort 2012 collection.

And yes, she’s still rocking the purple hair.

Glamazons, the way this dress flows just gives me chills! It’s just brills.

And Glamazons, look closely at the detail of this dress. The leather bodice and intricate gold lace design hugs Katy just right, creating the focal point of the dress.The whimsical sheer chiffon skirt flows from a cinched empire waist and effortlessly covers a mini dress underneath. The result is regal, bold, dramatic, sexy and stylish. Yes, all those adjectives are needed.

Katy completes her gorg look with Christian Louboutin Dafsling heels in black.

The pumps feature an elastic slingback for fit, an almond toe which conceals a 2 1/2″ platform and a 6 1/2″ leather-covered heel.

Katie had the help of a few mini-mes on the red carpet for a Teenage Dream Takeover. Each little Katy was styled to represent a past character from her third album, Teenage Dream, which blazed the Billboard with five number one singles in 2010.

The thought of being on the red carpet at age seven?! I live! Aren’t they adorable?

The only miss in my opinion is Katy’s hair. Even though we know she keeps her colorist busy (Katy gives Nicki Minaj and Rihanna a run for her money!), I can do without cobalt blue highlights. But again, she wouldn’t by Katy Perry without them!
